Children need healthy meals to learn. The Newton Community School District offers healthy meals every school day.

Monthly Breakfast & Lunch Menus:

Ala Carte (BMS & NHS)

Students must have money in their lunch account in order to charge Ala Carte purchases; otherwise, cash is required.

Free Meals Have Ended — Here’s What You Need to Know

The USDA no longer allows us to provide free meals to all students. To continue receiving meal support and unlock additional benefits—like reduced college testing fees—we strongly encourage all families to complete a free and reduced meal application. This simple step helps your family and supports our schools.

Free & Reduced Applications

Free & Reduced forms for 2025/26 are now available, use this link for a printable copy or pick one up in any NCSD office! You can also login to you Infinite Campus Parent Portal & submit your form online, click on ‘Meal Benefits’ to find the application.

If you’d like to fill out a free & reduced application, please do so! Your family might qualify!

Free & Reduced Applications are available online, at the district office, school buildings, or by calling the Food Service Department at 641.792.5797 X2001. For more information click here! Completed applications can be turned in at any school office, or emailed to millerj@newton.k12.ia.us

Fees & Online Payments

Food Service Fees can be paid online via Infinite Campus, you can find instructions here – please check your student(s) meal account balance & deposit funds. Or set it & forget it with auto payments. Thank you!

Negative Account Balances

Families will be notified by ParentSquare if their balance falls behind. The school district will make reasonable efforts to collect unpaid meal charges classified as delinquent debt. You can find the NCSD Board Policy on meal charges here.
